ORIGINAL Artwork by Lidia Kuneca Title: Sun Bubble Size, Medium: 28x40cm ink acrylic on paper Style: Abstract Description: The photographic documentation which I have carried out with a digital camera results in the direct sunlight passing through the lens making the rays dispersed into rainbow colors. The symbol of sight, the eye is simplified to the maximum. It is suggested by vague circular and semi-circular outlines and continues with lines protruding the composition. I sought a representation in primitive art from all cultures, particularly African and Aborigine. I drew this symbol of the eye by a geometric line over the nebula created by mixing colors in ink, acrilyc, mixed techniques.

Lidia Kuneca is a contemporary painter. She showed a passion and a skill for painting in the expressionist manner from an early age through her childhood and adolescence. From the age of 11 she received an artistic education in her hometown Art highschool and later at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca where she recieved a grant for 5 months at the University of Fine Arts in Cuenca, Spain. Lidia paints mostly from imagination or memory. Her work describes the inner voice of the subconscious mind, inspired by the beauty of imaginary things, the mystery of nature and social experiences. She has a positive and colorful vision. Lidia especially admires David Hockney, in elements such as his smooth flat and brilliant color. Marc Chagall for his quirky motifs, Olafur Eliasson for sculptures and large-scale installations that enhance the viewer's experience.
