Well, since the pandemic came around, and my buddy found a treadmill for us to use (he being my caregiver), I've been able to exercise and actually stabilize my hands and fingers enough to paint again. This one I completed in a few months, from thought to what you see now. Sometimes my hands are much more steady than other times, and as such I must take my time. This one is some clouds over fields, as a thunderous column is approaching while the sun is setting. Illuminated in deep oranges and blazing yellows, the column of precipitation ominously hangs over the magnificent distance. In my many travels, through the wilderness, I've seen many vistas and skies, and as such, they are definitely some of my most favorite of subjects to paint. This painting I completed just last month, in September 2021, at the tender age of 97. I did it with what I call the "daubing" technique, in quick I freely apply the paint onto the canvas in a pressing motion, not in my usual brushing style. This, due to "Macular Degeneration" of the eyes (slowly losing focus and vision) as well "Essential Tremors" as they are called, which make my hands shaky at times. Anyway, hope you love it, and treasure it, like I do all my works of art. We've put it in a basic frame, yet as basic a frame it is, it really makes this painting pop. Giving you an idea of what this could look like with a much more elaborate frame.

My last painting, thus far, was just recently completed in September 2021. As of May 2021, at 97 years of age, my desire to paint lives on, even though I have trouble seeing properly (Macular Degeneration) and my hands are a bit shaky from time to time (Essential Tremors). Nevertheless, I still managed to finish this latest painting, a landscape, with fields protruding from below a majestic looking column of colorful clouds glowing in the vibrancy of a fiery sunset. Seeing as I have trouble with my hand trembles, I have to complete my work by using the 'daubing' technique, however, not in a careless manner as the terminology may suggest. I plan to outlive my mother, whom lived to be 107 years of age. To do so, I must try to find forever homes for some of my larger and most coveted pieces of art. I've always said I want to donate all the art I have in my possession to an art museum that'll agree to display it from time to time, when I pass away. Yet, finances dictate I should try to use my artwork to better set myself up for the years ahead, if I do indeed plan to live in my own home for the next decade or so. Hence, putting some of my children (original works of art) up for adoption to a new loving home and future.
