"Surfin' Bird" Summer in Australia, even our native fauna need to cool off! This painting is inspired by the beautiful turquoise beaches in the Coral Coast Region of Western Australia, namely Denham and Shark Bay. This painting is the fifth in my Australian Water & Fauna Series. As I was painting this one, this crazy song 'Surfin' Bird' came on my playlist... so that's the name of it now!! This piece is full of beautiful textures in the sand and the feathers of the emus which gives it a sense of depth.
