Susan: Anthropomorphic Bush Baby Portrait in Red Floral Dress Painting

I painted this piece a few years ago, using mostly pen and water. It features a bush baby, galago or nagapie, a very sweet nocturnal animal found in my native South Africa. She is anthropomorphised and depicted wearing a lovely late eighties inspired dress with an abstract floral print center panel and red sleeves with dramatic blue cuffs. She is surrounded by a cloud of red ink wash. Her thoughtful pose and large green flecked brown eyes really make the portrait, and her gigantic ears lend her a lovely mouse like appearance. She is thoroughly adorable, but not to be trifled with. This painting will ship rolled in a tube.
