ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My work is instinctive, recreates lived sensations, aspires to become a thought, but it is not rational. My brush freely expresses being. Humor, eroticism, the existential condition are recurrent. I am interested in the tradition of painting in its polite, precise and expressive ways. The series "Bailongos" to which this painting belongs is the representation of the dance as a culminating moment of the vital experience. I use materials from the old school of European painting, such as tempera, which is based on egg and natural pigments, for its lightness, luminosity and permanence.
