Swan Lake Painting

Oh the magesty of ballet! This work is part of my Grand Gestures Collection because with all of these artworks, I worked to capture the essence of something with a simple gesture- yet in a grand way. Swan Lake evokes the grace of a swan, head bowed, floating in a blue mist. This work celebrates the swan as a magestic creature, but also the ballerina who works to embody the spirt of this creature. As with all other works in this colletion, I committed to one gesture and stepped away for my canvas. What record left tells the tale of an abstract, yet elegant swan, swimming in the blue. This work comes sweetly wrapped in a box, complete with a gallery wire for easy installation and a certificate of authenticity for your records. I love to imagine my work sharing space with people who are willing to look within art to find what is waiting for them-solace and wonder.
