Sweet Potato Tea Party Painting

In this painting Frankenstein's Monster lumbers through a doorway carrying two spilling tea pots. He gazes at you as if asking about your day, or perhaps he is concerned that there will not be enough tea for both of you. Paint has been applied to the canvas in washes and layers that have been scrubbed and scraped to create texture. I have used multiple references from my ever-growing collection of created and borrowed images. The cartoon villain that is the subject of this piece has been sliced in half his right side mirrored to create symmetry. The tea pot image was found on the internet the floral pattern on the jacket was created by making a stamp from a sweet potato.
