This is a painting I created using bubble wrap cut into circles, and layers of paint applied to the canvas to get the effect and depth I wanted. Then from the blossom - I used moulding clay to define the branches and the leaves -to give a 3d effect ...the leaves and the stem have gold leaf attached in places - also resin butterflies were attached the the min core of the stalk. the complete painting is then covered in resin to help maintain the extra elements with in - but I love the sheen and look it gives this particular piece this painting is 100cm by 30 cms it comes unframed and for shipping it would need to be sent as its presented due to the resin on top . This work was inspired by looking out the window at home while in lock down in the coronas virus pandemic. the loaning for colour

Bio All of my work is original inspired by my life experiences, thoughts and pictures I have taken from around the world. I am influenced by daily observations and the challenges and joys that life brings my way, with the pictures evolving from their initial concept through the creative process. Life constantly changes as choices, opportunities and challenges come my way and my paintings absolutely reflect my life and experiences – I try to embrace and integrate all that life throws at me, which eventually comes out on canvas as a lasting legacy, helping me to look forward and constantly learn and evolve as an individual and artist. My very personal story with art started as a child – I always loved to sketch and doodle, which was widely encouraged and resulted in achieving an Art ‘A’ Level qualification. However, the commercial necessities of life followed and I embarked on a career outside of the arts and it’s now, in my mid-40s that I find myself drawn to my true vocation again. What started as a hobby has quickly developed through praise, recognition and, most importantly, emotional growth and maturity, into freedom to express my passions and ideals on canvas – each of my pictures tells a very personal story and I feel privileged to be able to communicate this way and share my life’s journey in this very personal way. It’s liberating! My life continues to grow in positive directions as I learn from my past and embrace who I am today, and who I hope to be in the future. Personal expression through my artwork is seminal to this process, and sharing it is now very much part of that too. Painting and experimenting with colour, material and process help me to unwind, off-load and relax, as well as defining direction and allowing me to embrace life’s mysteries. I hope you enjoy what you see here and that the peace and joy I gain from creating inspires and delights you too. Thank you for visiting my site and please let me know what you think; I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments, and if you would like to have a picture of my journey on your wall I would be honoured in assisting you. I look forward to communicating with you soon.
