ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Colors, shapes, and lighting add to the mystery of this table setting. Texture varies. Framed and ready to hang. My painting process is not preplanned. It took over one year to finish, painting, scraping, repainting. I was after a visual experience, encompassing space, color, movement, and mystery. This painting has shown in two Invitational exhibitions.

Paula Swaydan Grebel is an award winning artist who translates the color of the studio still life, landscapes, and figures using bold loose images. She has been the recipient of awards both for plein air and still life paintings. Her work is in the collection of the Cedarburg Art Museum, corporations and private collections throughout the US and Internationally. Swaydan Grebel has studied in Wisconsin, California, and Philadelphia, with a BFA from California State University Long Beach. Swaydan Grebel is also a long-term instructor at multiple venues in the Midwest and West Coast.
