First part of the triptych "Taganka Theatre". Acrylic on paper, bint, 100/85 cm, 2009. The famous Taganka Theatre of Moscow included into its repertoire a play adapted from the "Doctor Zhuvago" novel written by Boris Pasternak - one of the most famous Soviet literary works which was banned in the Soviet Union. The novel about the tragic fate of intelligentsia after the Bolshevik revolution in Russia was awarded a Nobel prize in 1958 but was published in the Soviet Union only 30 years later during the Gorbachev "perestroika".
