ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This original landscape/horizon/sky view was inspired by the weather we've been experiencing in SW Florida of late. I've been exploring something quite different from my familiar color palette. The urge has been almost without hesitancy. I'm breaking from any restrictions or perimeters that I've placed on myself to not explore. I have been fighting the urge to stop painting with blue, brown, and gray in my work, and simply allowing it to happen. My hope is that the viewer will take advantage of their imagination to interpret the painting on canvas panel (flat board), as I do. The piece, although small is hearty enough to evoke different emotions. I generally paint using acrylic paints, gesso, and varnish to coat and protect the painting. This does require a frame and hardware. A frame is NOT provided as shown. This piece will be securely packaged and delivered in a box. Included will be a Certificate of Authenticity. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts, and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
