Inspired by my friend Tapas. The redundant red British Telephone box covered by ivy depicts the past that the lady is leaving behind as walks towards a new dawn in her pure white gown. It´s never too late to start all over again in life, all it takes is the courage to leave it behind.

Born in Wellingborough, England, 25 years of fast-paced London based travel industry work commitments took me world-wide. In 2009, I began oil painting under Talal Refit and continued for 6 years under Uwe Mueller (student of Henry Moore) at Kunstwerk in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Somewhere along the road, I started experimenting with Encaustic and self-taught the wonderful medium of this ancient art, dating back between 1st - 3rd century. Today, for painting I alternate between encaustic on wood panels and oils on canvas working full-time at my atelier located in historic town of Jever, Germany.
