About The Artwork
This work is a brutal, abstract set of rough shapes, patterns, lines and figures, which is reminiscent of an image of a destructive, chaotic cityskape. The work deploys personal memories as turning the mundane into the fantastical. NOTE: This artwork was painted onto a large, unframed canvas. The overall size of the canvas is roughly 270 cm x 168 cm, the size of the actual artwork is roughly 260 cm x 160 cm. The canvas will be sold and shipped safely in a reinforced, tube-like package. Please refer to a specialist framing service for professionally unrolling and installing the canvas onto a panel. Daniel Unger lives and works in Germany. Although Daniel‘s artworks are mostly made up of illustrations, drawings, sketches and paintings, he also delves into the creation of small, surreal animations and other motion design projects. His main source of inspiration were the works of many outsider artists, such as Mark Beyer or Sam Steinberg. Daniel successfully completed both the BA in „Communication design“ in Germany and the MA in „Visual and digital communications“ in England. His arworks were shown in exhibitions in Berlin, Germany and Wolverhampton, England. His latest works were part of the ANIMA MUNDI festival in Venice, Italy.
