About The Artwork
This was a canvas where I decided to go a little crazy with the dark browns, bright oranges, and blues. My brushwork took over the piece and light and shadow had a mind of its own creating shape where there was none before. Intuitively, I followed the forms and contours that the painting presented to me. I had a great gulf between the sheer orange form in the foreground and a somewhat distant ledge. This won "Special Recognition Award" in LightSpaceTime Gallery's March 2019 Abstract show.
