This is the 1st part of the tetraptych. The full title of the work is ‘The Color Equivalent of the Brand Value, Determined by the Dialectic of Unity and Struggle of Opposites’ in which an attempt was made to answer the question of whether abstract concept can have a specific visual form and color reflecting its essence. The violet rhombus formed at the intersection of the blue and red triangles (representing constant struggle of up and down movements in the market forces) was identified as the area in which the market value is formed. Thus, the rhombus turned out to be the visualized form of such an abstract concept as market value; and the shades of violet – colors that reflect the essence of value, referred in the color of the brand sign, placed in two corners of the work. The results proved to me once again that the visual language of non-abstract (meta-abstract) symbols is able to describe abstract concepts, while the well-known historical legacy of artistic experience has so far used only abstraction as the only possible language for describing abstract phenomena or concepts. The tetraptych was created as part of my many years project ‘Semiosis of Meta-Abstract Symbols / Phenomenology of Freedom’ that ended in 2023 . It has been carried out at the intersection of art and semiotics research, which resulted in a number of innovations related both to the formal aspects of art / theory of art and semiotics. One of the most interesting achievements during the project was working-out of the Theory of Peripheral Meanings-Controlling Signs, in which an attempt was made to give the dynamics of the development of meaning to the static images and ‘The Color Equivalent of the Brand Value, Determined by the Dialectic of Unity and Struggle of Opposites’ is one of the works where the Theory was implemented.
