I feel very strongly for the women in Afghanistan, who recently had their freedom taken away from them, just like that, and presumably irrevocably within their own lifetimes. For someone like me, living in the West and enjoying an almost unlimited personal independence, watching half of the Afghan population disappear behind walls feels exactly as if that country had stopped breathing. This watercolour comes in a white object frame.
