The Fiery Dancer Painting

The 'fierce dancer' is an acrylic on water colour paper artwork inspired by the acrobatic female dancers in Kenya who are flexible and can stretch their bodies beyond oblivion. They do this with passion, agility and we love the stretch and feel of fabric as it sways around their bodies in an agile, beautiful manner accenting the female body. I hope the viewers will feel inspired and energized by looking at this artwork because of the vibrancy it exudes and be energized to be innovative in their thinking. I chose the subject matter as i would relate to the message expressed and I would like for the viewers to feel the agility in the dancer that makes her fiery and elegant at the same time. Acrylics are good quality paints that obey the tool one is working with and allow for various colour combinations without losing the life within the paint. I love working in abstract as it has some uniqueness that leaves your eye wondering on the same piece over and over again and give the viewer different perspectives, interpretation as well as intuitions as per their feelings
