"The GOD of Science and Abstraction" - PICTA 26 is an iconic composition, dimm. 104 x 74 cm, painted on Fabbriano paper, painted through the silkscreen frame, monochrome, unique piece. He makes a direct reference to the SPIRA 3 of the monumental installation, "Columna mutãtio - LA SPIRALE", on display at the Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Rome, open November 28, 2017 until November 18, 2018 (installation that currently interrupts the Column of Trajan, a masterpiece of the Ancient Roman world, whose message refers to the "mutation" of meaning that takes place in the turning of history, considering my work as a heartfelt tribute to the memory of that past relived in the present, in the dialogue between the value historical, artistic and archaeological of the Trajan's Column and our contemporary world). The work "Gli DEI I" sees the DEI as protagonists, considering that both the Romans and the Dacians had a polytheistic culture. (the God of Fire, the Goddess of Lightning, the God of Construction, the God Blacksmith, the God of the Abstraction and of the Sciences, the god of Architecture and Buildings, the Goddess of Electricity, the Goddess of the Earth, the God of the Wheat, the God of the Infinite). To create the drawings of the icons of the gods I was inspired by the Roman copies of Hellenistic statues and Roman statues that are found in the Palazzo Altemps (Statue of dadoforo, Athena, Herakles), in the Palazzo Massimo (Hellenistic Prince, Herakles, Lucrezia, statues found in residential villas) and in the Capitoline Museums (Hercules and others). Engraved on silk-screen frames, my drawings interpret in an iconic language allusive statues of ancient Rome, humanized and connected symbolic images, where the human body is not inspired by anatomy, but to the human body "work of art", composed as the impulses of memory in an open space, interwoven with the writings in the Roman lapidary character that become images.

It is part of the PICTA series, personal evocations inspired by the Itineraria picta - ancient maps painted on scrolls of parchment that were found in Roman libraries, which was inspired by Apollodorus of Damascus to design the Trajan's Column.
Starting from screen printing I developed a particular painting technique that I have been using for a long time, with the aim of creating unique works " unicum", and not to produce multiples: I have "layered" the canvas support, with acrylic / vinyl screen printing colors based on catalysts, diluents and solvents, and by hand silk-screen printing, using engraved frames showing the 11 preparatory drawings. By manipulating the silk-screen canvas as if it were "a brush", "a pencil" or "an engraving needle", and therefore working with "groups of signs" that overlap, it allows me to create a sharp image, with a strong chromatic impact and clean, which supports the materiality of the colors, but at the same time is cured in detail. The moment is unrepeatable, as in painting. The beauty of this technique also consists in the trace left by the layer of ink that runs through the silk screen and in the vital chromatic intensity of the colors.
