Painting: Oil on Canvas.
Marilyn Monroe was an American Icon, but the girl next door was a survivor. Wherever she could, Marilyn transformed depression into optimism and hardships into opportunities. The passion that made her shine was a burning flame. In the end she was a candle in the wind ripped apart by love in the limelight. I highly recommend you read her full story on Wikipedia.
I originally painted this in 2018, but I revisited it 2019.
I paint portraits of iconic people, people who have an impact on me or our society.
The painting is signed on the back and has my “e” symbol on the front.
The painting continues around the sides, so it is ready to hang unframed.
