The Green Night Painting by Brian Wiggins

Painting: Acrylic, Paper, flocking on Paper.

The image you're looking at is a painted collage of a repeated pattern from my sketchbook. I take the drawing, copy it and assemble it as concentric rectangles in the pattern you see. It is taped of and painted and as the last step flocked with black fiber as if it were a Black Light Poster.

The piece is mounted and installed in an artist built frame, ready to hang.

This painting was partly made as a response to Eduoard Vuillard's piece The Green Interior from 1891.
