The Grief Behind The Scene Painting

Have you ever beed attached to specific corner in the city you live? This is my favourite corner of Ottawa. I took the photo on a fall day when I could go out to seize the moment in October... and I painted it in nights of December when I no longer could go out (it was Canada-cold out there) However, it’s not the whole story behind my painting... in fact none of my paintings are painted only to reflect the beauty of a scene. I paint only if I have a grief in my heart... on December last year I was the loneliest on this planet 2 continents away from my family duric the horrible lockdowns due to Covid-19 , in short days of Canadian winter, while I had to find a roommate or I would have lost my apartment... with short amount of savings to support myself on my own... I’m only 29 and ended up being so lonely and in darkness in winter although I never planned for it.. Long story short, I only paint when I need to talk to a beloved for hours... to cry and cope with what’s I’m going through... Every piece of this painting from the moment I took the photograph till I signed it means a world to myself... I’ve been through that hard time in my life. Today I’m doing well but I won’t forget those days... It’s been already painted on my memory in addition to this canvas... my hope is the next time I need to paint would be far far away...
