The Hawk Painting

One day I heard the song "Walk Like An Egyptian' After that I began looking for a picture of someone walking with their hands up, like in the song . After going through old books and every where else I could see pictures of ancient Egyptian art. I could not find one example of someone walking like an Egyptian. So having my head full of ancient Egyptian art what else could I do but paint some thing like all the strange images I saw. The background is a flat yellow and brown. There are dark blue edges on each side. The robe is white with a cadmium red band under the neck. The hair is black with a light green tiara with white highlights. In her hands is a small boat with an un Egyptian hawk . In tomb pictures the hawks were not realistic. This is a fantasy not a tomb painting. The paint used in this work were Old Holland and similar grade paints.
