Painting: Acrylic, Fabric, Found Objects, Gesso, Stone on Wood.

"The History of the Future", mixed media. Burned fabric, plaster, animal bone, brass wire, stones, ink, acrylic, electronic parts, and glass. Container is 12 inches square by 2 inches deep (30 x 30 x 5 cm).

Human civilization in a nutshell: fire, hunting, language, divination, the beginnings of art, mathematics, technology, astronomy, urbanization; the bone is marked by a knife, the first evidence of human tool use, while the stones are inscribed with characters suggestive of language or ritual.

This piece is housed in a box made of high-grade 1/4” medium-density fiberboard, ready to hang.
