SASJA CAPPENDIJK was born in the Netherlands, Vlijmen. After graduating from the famous Design Academy in Eindhoven, she worked several years as a designer. Her love for color and form shifted from Design to Art. The reason why she committed herself in the Art Academy Arendonk, Belgium. Sasja sees her self as an creative pioneer, tracking on a path full of wide and dreamy views and personal insights. Her work moves between expressive abstraction, modern contemporary and more figurative styles, combining mixed medias like acrylics, oil, crayons and watercolors. "I enjoy the dance between subdued and elated rhythm of color and form, they make me feel energized. As I work mostly intuitively, the painting will reveal itself along the way".
