About The Artwork

This work is a modern look at classical Japanese calligraphy. The stylized inscription of the hieroglyphic symbol "Happiness" was made in the technique of hot art enamel. The work was created in the Workshop of hot enamel of the Museum of Ukrainian Painting (Dnipro) - the largest center of enamel art in Ukraine. The workshop has been successfully working for five years, developing authentic lines of the Ukrainian enamel art, combining tradition and modernity. On the basis of the workshop, two international symposiums were held (Poland, Argentina, Belarus), as well as over ten nationwide. The state of the work is perfect. Hot painted enamel is a glassy layer directed onto a copper plate at a high temperature (about 800 ° C). On average, up to four calcinations are required to complete the work. Products made of hot enamel are resistant to fluctuations in air temperature, ultraviolet radiation and moisture. This work will complement the collection of enamel art lovers, as well as those interested in classic and modern Japanese calligraphy.
