About The Artwork

This painting is part of a series called: Going in Circles, with a wheel or tyre as central symbol. The wheel is transformed into the spiral of a shell, which has an inward and an outward movement. A place to hide and an opening to the world. The thick layer of paper mache on the left side contrasts the spontaneous flow of water and paint on the right side of the painting.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

After graduating as a human rights lawyer, I set foot on a winding path in the arts. Sculpture, painting and curating site specific exhibitions have my enthusiasm, but since the last decade I focus more on environmental/site-specific art. A central theme in my artwork is the human relationship with nature. I live in an urban, digital, global world and I research possible ways to engage in nature. By using natural materials I seduce myself and others to get closer to, or even ‘enter’ nature.
