Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas, Paper.

I'm inspired my mid-century design, style, atomic motifs and boomerangs, vintage kitsch, cowboys, Western Americana, airstream trailers and road trips.
My neon sign paintings are reflective of the collective unconscious of the 1950's. Part documentary, part fantasy, the signs are glamorized on their pedestals as cherished objects of romanticized memory. Surrounded by the murky darkness of passing time they are strangely abandoned, yet brilliantly alive.
This painting has a lot of texture. See details.
