About The Artwork
I started choosing the colours that I felt right for that day. The orange seemed ok and the black gives everything a misterious touch. I love black, just a stroke of it makes a painting much more interesting. I didn´t have a very clear idea of what I wanted but the wing started to appear and when I realized that I saw the feathers opening as if it was a tired wing with one of it´s ends touching the ground. Acrylic is what I use to paint with watercolour pencils that also mix with water. It´s the way that I discovered to keep the drawing in my paintings, I like to see some drawing, it brings air into the painting. I can have a previuos plan or not, I enjoy very much seeing the forms appear and then change my plan because I see something different.

My inspiration has always been the human body and its relation with light and movement. I work sometimes based on famous paintings, like Manet´s Olympia, it makes me feel a very special joy moving those wonderfull paintings as I wish.
