Lavi Picu is a Romanian interdisciplinary artist currently living in Montreal, Canada. She is an emerging visual artist who uses painting and poetry as alternative forms of self expression as well as pain management therapy for Lyme disease. She is also the author of four soulful collections of poetry. Lavi challenges herself daily to capture bits of the beauty that surrounds her. She draws her inspiration from her travels, from everywhere, far and near, from daily activities, music, love, pain, her poetry as well as her personal experiences. She loves working and experimenting with layers of acrylic paint, creating an array of textures. Shes uses watercolor, pastel, oil colors, colored pencils, but she is more drawn to acrylics. Her paintings can be found in private collections from North America, Europe, Asia and Central America.
