Hello viewer, it's not hard to get inspired by such beauty, this magnificent old Oak tree over looking a quiet stream on a sunny hazy day in winter, such a beautiful scene. Trees are a joy to paint, they all have there own character, such as this old Oak , been there watching the woods grow and the ever changing seasons for hundreds of years, he leans like an old man, but is strong like an athlete. As usual I've used Windsor and Newton professional grade oils on a loxley gold chunky canvas and finished off with a satin/ gloss mix varnish, the back has been fitted with dust proof paper and stainless steel hanging wire,no frame required.
