About The Artwork
Since my textile-art background I am interested in patterns and when I visited the greenhouses of a member of my family these two experiences came together. I saw how the flowers grow in weekly rows. Patterns give a certain peace in our minds and the impression that it goes on in all directions outside the work. The hands in the work are drawn around my own. It is a profound human action, children do it and pre-historical men and women did it in caves. The print, drawing and painting was done on original handmade rice-paper and is shown with the natural ravel within the passe-partout and than framed.
