About The Artwork
This is the crown piece of the Pixel Series, painted square by square as a therapeutic process of color break down and palette re discovery. This is a portrait of the place where the artist lives (Rosarito Beach) taken from a photograph of a friend and professional surf photographer Damian Davila. One of the buildings in the painting is where Carbo establishes upon arriving to Rosarito from Mexicali, where he was born. The Pixel series was created to stress the importance of the Pixel as a visual element ever present in daily life through the screens in which we view most of the things we see everyday.
