This triptych is over 10.5 feet wide! It is part of my "Canada 150" series of paintings being created to celebrate our beautiful Canadian wildlife during Canada's 150th birthday year. This is the first of two large works about the lose of the natural/traditional habitation of Canadian bears. I wanted to have some stars glimmering in the distance, plus a bit of drama, so after some research I was able to add a favorite meteorological event, a bolt of lightning. Did you know that thunder and lightning are symptoms of global warming? Normally they would not occur in the Arctic. This work is for sale but only through my studio. The additional charges and dollar exchange that Saatchi attaches to the price makes it absolutely astronomically unaffordable. Plus it's not getting any views anyway, so if you do want to buy please contact me. Thanks.
