About The Artwork

• In the history of American politics, never has the practice of smearing an Election candidate’s reputation been more wildly used than during and even after the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election between Republican candidate Donald J. Trump and Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton. • If you believe that Mr. Trump’s November 8 Election was due to his out-smearing Hillary & Company, don’t you think Mr. Trump deserves some credit for his unconventional, unique name-calling tactic? For example, calling ex-Florida Governor Jeb Bush ‘Low Energy’ was instrumental in causing Mr. Bush’s Republican Presidential Nomination debate standing to land last at 17th in the end. And naming co-debaters Marco Rubio ‘Little Marco’ and Ted Cruz ‘Lying Ted’ helped Mr. Trump become the presidential nominee of the Republican Party. After he branded Hillary ‘Crooked Hillary’ for her alleged email use abuse, money laundering and position-powered corruption, supporters of Mr. Trump began to chant ‘Lock her up, Lock her up’! Such smears - valid or not - contributed to Hillary’s election upset that shocked the so-called Media Elite consisting of CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, NYork Times, and Washington Post, which all thought that Mrs. Clinton would win the Election. And when The Donald used social media to insist that John McCain was no Vietnam War hero, the Arizona senator distanced himself from the Republican Party, probably due to his envy over Trump’s unstoppable rising popularity. • For me to paint an abstract showing the Republicans and Democrats trading demeaning verbal insults against each other, I used a 6-foot wide blackened canvas to draw white images of Mr. Trump as a Goofy-looking Superdog, and Mrs. Clinton as a ferocious, loquacious Wildcat shown at right, trying to challenge Mr. Trump to a Do-or-Die 2-Hour Smear Fight, as long as long as they are alone; the microphones are on; and the viewers are tuned to their iPhones. •For decades, political smears are common among election campaigners and elected officials whose needs to seek and keep government jobs are predicated on their individual ability to annihilate the enemy. While the 2016 Presidential Election was no exception, the participation of a charismatic tell-it-like-it-is outsider like Donald Trump made the Election not only stomach-churning, but also immensely entertaining. If we can call him the ‘King of Smear’, Mr. Trump’s mostly insult-laden rallies handily outnumbered Hillary 7 to 1 in terms of crowd attendance. Whether Mr. Trump gave his audiences facts or fake news, it did not matter much, just because of his gifted obnoxious ability to make almost anyone believe most of what he said. His motto trio of ‘Make America Great Again’, ‘Drain the Swamp’, and ‘America First’ resonated well with the voting public. • Fyi, my ‘Power of Smear’ abstract was particularly inspired by Sharyl Attkisson’s fascinating bestseller titled ‘The Smear’, where she defined the word purely based on political badmouthing. As a winner of numerous Emmy Awards as an honest-to-goodness investigative political journalist for years mostly at CNN, PBS and CBS, Ms. Attkisson’s remarkable book laid out when and where American politicians started to use the smearing process to destroy opponent reputations - and how and why they have succeeded or failed. She also cited irrational smearings by the 2 Clintons, FBI Director James Comey, Atty. General Loretta Lynch, and the Media Elite, which is secretly funded and controlled by a devoted democratic group of 6 communications/entertainment corporate giants called ‘The Big Six’, such as GE, Time-Warner, Comcast, CBS, and who else. Ms. Attkisson wrote ‘The Smear’ after resigning from CBS as a journalist, confiding that she could no longer consciously accept the abusive control and manipulation of the channel with respect to what she should report, and how. • Currently called a ‘Heroic Whistleblower’ by a follower, Ms. Attkisson is currently more than committed to report the salacious fake news , collusions, and corruptions that are allegedly known to be engineered by the Obama Administration, the DOJ, FBI, and the Hillary-led DNC. Specifically, these allegations refer to the deadly event in Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation Corruption, the Trump Tower Wiretap, and the Democrat all-out campaign to smear and destroy American President-Elect Donald J. Trump, who’s been busy doing what he promised the citizens of the country; namely: (1) Draining the Swamp; (2) Rebuilding the Military to scare the enemy; (3) Enforcing the New Tax Cuts, , and improving the domestic Infra-Structures to grow the American economy; (4) Negotiating with Congress to finally build the Mexican Border Wall to block illegal immigrant and addictive drug entries; (5) Using every precious minute to do his tweet-tweet-tweet; and lbnl (6) Doing push-ups in bed bi-weekly to release his stress and to please the Mrs. It’s funny that every night the POTUS and the FLOTUS had a ‘fight’, the President can be seen wobbly walking the White House dog at 3AM the following morning loudly singing ‘Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’, even though it’s rainin’, and the sun’s still hiding.
