ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have always been deeply moved by the story of Anne Frank and made this piece in honor of her. For me, the title suggests that the small voice of a young girl still shines brightly. I saw an image online the plaid fabric-covered diary her father gave her and repainted "The Quiet Light" to simulate it. The photo, key and lock are done in a tromp l'oeil technique.
