About The Artwork

The artwork is made from east African local fabric in a mixture of actual acrylic paint on canvas and there is inspiration from East African culture hand flour made by grinding, singing on the same time, the viewer will receive some information about how rural African life tried to solve their problem of making flour since many hundred years ago, and again it is where and origin to make very popular local food in the region which is well known as called UGALI, FUFU, etc and again I have chosen my way of expressing myself by using this kind of technic to show beauty and enjoyment in the duty and my line art to express my heart's feelings

I am a self-taught visual artist. I began making art from a young age, playing by making small wired toy cars and more, in 2010 I started working with different art centers in Rwanda and around Kigali, primarily at Ivuka Art Center. I now specialize in painting and public arts. I have been a key artist in many of Kurema Kureba Kwiga’s various public art projects. my aim as an artist is to spark positive social impact and the renewal of strength and courage to transform society for the better. The content of my works ranges from history to nature conservation to rural African lifestyles. I use different patterns, collages, and painting styles to capture and convey my messages. I believe there is always a positive side to every event so I try to find that and share these messages of love, kindness, positivity, compassion, and joy. My work can be seen at Niyo Art Center, Ivuka Arts, Association Arkane-Casablanca Morocco, and at the Rural African Art gallery at Kayonza, Eastern Province - Rwanda where I am currently in residence.
