Since I was young, I've been dreaming of going to Scotland. I dreamt of the empty spaces, the beautiful landscapes, the castles and the rivers. Whenever I felt down in my own country, I wished I was there, although I'd never been there for real. This idea of escaping reality contrasted with the philosophy of ying-yang, which I was more and more interested in at the time. The Eastern philosophy states that one must live in the moment in order to be happy. At the time, I learned to experience this paradox and make peace with it. I hope this art will make people feel the beauty of the mind, the beauty of one's dreams, and a sense of accepting that one want to escape the moment. The painting is made with clay on purpose. In this way, the non-experienced reality of the dreams becomes more and more real. Almost as real as dreams feel like, so almost as real as reality. You can contact me anytime for more pictures to see the 3D-effect better, which on the basis makes the painting what it is.
