Art Description

Painting: Oil on Wood.

The Sea by Siri Skogstad Berntsen, portrays the feeling of reaching a destination. A woman is placed in the forefront of the scene, facing the landscape in front of her. Figurative work in expressionistic direction. The painting is inspired by a photograph taken by the American artist Arthur Fields. The Sea, created on a (massive) wood board, 2.7cm deep, is relatively heavy. The edges of the side of the board have bowed appearance. The painting would need a frame, or otherwise an arrangment for display. Contact the artist if you would like to have metal arrangement for displaying the work attached to the backside of the board. siri.skogstad.berntsen@gmail.com
