ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This abstract painting, rendered in a linear style, captures the essence of birds in flight through a series of elegant, flowing lines. The composition is stripped of literal representation, relying instead on the rhythm of repeated, curving strokes to evoke the movement and freedom of birds soaring through the sky. The lines vary in thickness and direction, creating a sense of layered motion, as if the birds are swooping and gliding effortlessly through air. Intersecting arcs and loops generate a harmonious balance between tension and fluidity, while negative space between the lines adds a sense of openness and vastness. The painting’s minimalist approach emphasises the abstract beauty of flight, reducing it to pure form and motion.
