Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

"The Unintended" refers to a passage or journey. This journey is impeded by the fact that the boat is on land, high above a city in the distance. And yet, these very vibrant and alive flowers expectantly await passage. To the right, a rope is taught, suggesting the boat is being pulled. These delicate flowers are passive passengers, expectant and looking at us the viewers. The title refers to many things - the unintended reality of a boat stranded on land, the unintended use of a boat as a flower planter or even the possibility that these passengers are going somewhere they don't belong.
