The Unspoken (diptic) Painting

My works in this series (The Unspoken) were designed based on “The Real” (Le Reel) concept of Jacques Lacan, who I consider as a philosopher rather than a psychoanalyst. In the thought of Lacan, the tongue divides the subject into two; being conscious and unconscious. The subject, in order to express itself, gets into symbolic order, accepts law and becomes a part of the culture. But there is always a field which cannot be expressed by symbolic order, tongue. In my exhibition, I tried to explore and understand this field (“The Real”) that cannot be symbolized by the tongue.
