The Way- 60X40 Mixed Media on Canvas - Inspired by this Rumi quote: “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.” This abstract expressionistic mixed media triptych painting is one of my favorite recent artworks. Started as a digital paintings on the iPad using Procreate. Once printed on canvas, this painting is made with layers of acrylic paint, sand, gel medium, pastels and archival inks. I used a variety of brushes, palette knifes and my hands to add the mixture of sand & gel medium to create texture. This is a process that I've developed with the intention of continues experimentation and discovery to share my vision & truth. I hope it invokes joy, exploration, discovery & healing!

Mixed media artist Paim, also known as Paiman, escaped from Iran after the revolution at the age of twelve, grew up in Germany and for the last thirty-five years lives in San Francisco, Bay Area. From an early age, he was exposed to the arts that stimulated him to explore and express his passion for painting, music and writing. He’s been studying, teaching and working in the field of multi-media, education and advertising for the past 20 years. Paim’s abstract art pieces are an exquisite intersection of photography, digital painting and a freedom of expression. One of his foremost passions is to volunteer and inspire young minds to tap into their creative wells. Paim believes art like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He finds small openings of inspiration and peace in this busy life by reconnecting with nature, movement, and sound. Simple objects, shapes, & colors that go unnoticed in everyday life bring out his creativity. “I enjoy sharing my vision of hidden beauty and stretch ones mind in the direction of limitless imagination.”
