I am inspired by weavers, textiles and rugs from old worlds. I started the weavers in 2015 and this is a second piece in this series. I have a long standing attraction to weaving and ethnographic patterns that tell us stories. I hope to continue in this manner and dig deeper into subjects of women, their work, floral and geometric patterns... This large scale painting is on un-stretched canvas - for installation, I would recommend it to be mounted to a pole along the top in the style of a hanging scroll. It could also be stretched more traditionally on a wood canvas stretcher.
