Art Description

Painting: Oil on Wood.

Inspired by one of my favourite novels, 'For Whom the Bell Tolls', by Ernest Hemingway, this painting shows the 'Spanienkämpfer' monument by Fritz Cremer in Berlin in the background. It is a dedication to all the men and women from all over the world who volunteered to go to Spain in the 1930's and fight against fascism.

Mounted in a restored, black lacquered, vintage, hardwood frame.
