The Writing is in the Air - Red Painting

The Writing is in the Air Each of these paintings is an echo of my own personal spiritual learning, their inspiration specifically chosen from passages of a metaphysical book I am currently reading. I begin with a 2B pencil and a large ruler to draw lines across my canvas. Then I refer to the selected writing from the current book I am reading, which dictates my colour choice. I take an ink dropper and using the chosen ink colour, I scribe the writings into the canvas. The words are not intended to be read, but for the energy that they carry to be imbued into the painting. I may add more layers, remove, drip and play using water and alcohol, with the ink, to arrive at the final image.  I then seal the final image and finish it with a final satin varnish. Each painting is wired on the back and ready for exhibit.
