It is oil on wood, part of a series of paintings i did 2 years ago in Florida. The stormy weather is always a great source of inspiration for me, moving everything around; the light, the colours and even distorting the shapes.

Born in Africa , raised in Europe , Sonia moved to Canada in her late twenties and graduated in graphic design in 1989 at George Brown College in Toronto. Then, raising a family, she attended art classes at Avenue road Art School, Klim School of Art, Artistic Way and Koffler Center - mostly under the tutoring of Sadko Hadzihasanovic - while freelancing portrait commissions.
