Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

This abstract, geometric composition resembles a windmill, with a side view and schematic lines as well. The mechanism of the spinning windmill that converts the energy of wind into rotational energy can be viewed as an offshoot of alchemy. Windmills today seem antiquated, just as the idea of alchemy. The title, "There is No Less Alchemy Now," is about realizing that magic happens in this time and is not some dreamy abstract relic of an idea from the past.

The bronze/antique gold shapes are a matte metallic.

[Painting is on heavy duty canvas with 2" deep stretchers]
