About The Artwork

As a self taught artist, I was inspired to paint this roaring lion by my life situation. Artists always paint their heart and mind. The emotions behind each painting tells a story of what they have experienced, seen or think might Happen. Life ain't always beautiful for that is a fact. Passing through a trial moment in my life where I felt like losing my hope, letting go, giving up.. What came into my mind was the lion roaring at the head of its voice.. So loud that it intimidates, scares, chases away any intruder, passes a message that no matter what... He is still the king of the jungle. Life at most times is what we make it to be, what we choose it to be. This painting reminds me that so many times I will call, be laughed at, miss unto something but that's never the ends. O shake the negativity off.. Roar at my weaknesses and work hard to be a better me. I hope the viewers will love this painting and you are free to interpret it the way you want. I chose to paint sigh oils because they gave me enough time to change lots of stuff, add details and bring out the best of the painting.

I am a self taught artist who loves all kinds of art work . Growing up in an orphanage made me realize the God given talents with in me and one of them was art. As a kid I remember drawing sketches of people, making photo frames out of local materials, making ropes, doormats, pottery and fixing Jewelry of which I earned some pennies from it. I learnt more skills from people who used to draw but much more from those who used to make local craft work. I remember my teacher always making us paint a story after reading us one and I think this is where my imaginative composition was developed. Through alot of practice and tears , I have learnt to be patient with myself and appreciate the kind of art I do. Learning from Others and not trying to be them but trying to perfect my craft and be unique. Every artist has their own fingerprints /Style which they develop after a long time of practice. Art to me is a therapy, it speaks alot to me and I say out what is on my heart and mind alot through my art work. I am always overjoyed when my art speaks out a story to someone else. I think it's the most satisfying thing than just money.
