About The Artwork
Following a politically, bizarre couple of years around the world and in Europe, I wanted to produce a new collection of paintings that were light hearted, fun and promoting positivity. Produced as slogans and logos that echo street art, advertising and the media but that also follow a painting process with techniques used by artists such as Gerhard Richter, Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Bob & Roberta Smith. This mandala is a more illustrative piece inspired by mindfulness meditation and kundalini yoga. These paintings are only available on Saatchi Art and will not be uploaded or available on my own website. They can be bought individually but also work very well in groups, as they can be easily mixed and matched to your choosing. Deborah is an English artist living in Italy. After graduating in Fine Art, I joined Stass Parascos's Art School in Cyprus. After living in Greece for a while and various travelling adventures around the globe, I went back to the UK to complete a number of art residencies, exhibitions and teaching placements. In 2004 I settled with my family in the beautiful Italian region of Piemonte. The majority of the paintings exhibited here are from my most recent body of work. Most have been produced from 2016 and are exclusively available on Saatchi Art. Fun, tongue in cheek paintings exploring, contemporary art, positivity and mindfulness, using mandalas and slogans to acknowledge the sometimes slightly strange times in which we are living.
