About The Artwork

We thought we had the perfect storm for a bunch of frisky teenagers. Ozzie had the house to himself, and he had a swimming pool. Party? Oh, yes. His parents were away and his Bubi Lollie was in charge, but we knew she was as cool as the other side of the pillow and would never dime on us. The stage was set! We invited a bunch of JV girls and a few of our paisans, chilled some beverages in a cooler, popped a Little Feat cassette into the boom box, and we were ready for the big night. Everyone showed up and we were having a blast and livin' the dream... but then a few of the seniors from the ice hockey team rolled in and declared "This must be the place!". Soon they had cooled off in the pool, helped themselves to our drinks, and started trying to chat up the girls. These bros were known as smooth operators, but we held our ground and told them to back off our dates. We did let them party with us but we didn't let them take over as they had done at countless other parties. By Monday the word had spread around school about a killer gig they crashed, and everybody wanted to hear the whole story. It was as if we were "made men" all of a sudden... Oz, this one's for you!

After a 30 year career in advertising and sales leadership I escaped the corporate media world a few years ago and can now focus on creating my own work. In other words, I'm an outsider artist that has decades of ideas pouring out. My intent is primarily to create pieces of art that are highly visual and interesting to enjoy and study... but may often express ideas, ask questions, unearth feelings, debate opinions, or sometimes be provocative. Like many paintings though, they're often just a combination of lines, shapes, colors, textures, and space. That said; I hope my work presents a UNIQUE combination of art elements to you and that you like what you see. Better yet, I hope you believe some of my pieces should be included in your collection. I've traveled the world but have always lived in the Philadelphia area. While I have no formal training as an artist, I've been a photographer and I've been around the art community my whole life. My wife Suzanne works as a Docent for the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, and together we've raised three wonderful sons that are all now making their own way in the world. We have a home and our studio in Chester County PA with our Bernese Mountain Dog; Mr Charlie.
